💾 Automated Backups & Business Continuity

If the Worst Happens,
You'll Be Ready.

Ransomware. Hardware failure. Accidental deletion. Any of them can bring your business to a halt — unless your data is backed up, tested, and recoverable. We make sure it is, so a crisis becomes an inconvenience instead of a catastrophe.

✓ Automated daily backups
✓ Cloud & local redundancy
✓ Tested & verified recovery
✓ Ransomware-resilient copies
The Reality
"We Have a Backup" Isn't the Same as Being Protected.

Most businesses think they're backed up. But when we dig in, we find backups that haven't run in weeks, copies stored on the same machine that got infected, or backup files that can't actually be restored when tested.

A backup that hasn't been tested isn't a backup — it's a false sense of security. The only thing that matters is how fast you can get your business back up and running when something goes wrong.

We build backup and recovery systems that are automated, redundant, and actually tested — so you know exactly what to expect when you need it most.

🦠 Ransomware can encrypt your backups too

If your backup is connected to your network, ransomware can reach it. Without immutable, offsite copies, a ransomware attack can wipe out your data and your recovery option at the same time.

💥 Hardware fails without warning

Hard drives don't send a calendar invite before they fail. When a workstation or server dies unexpectedly, recovery time without a proper backup is measured in days — or it doesn't happen at all.

🗑️ Accidental deletion is more common than you think

Someone deletes the wrong folder. A file gets overwritten. Without versioned backups, that data is gone permanently — and it happens to businesses every single day.

What We Do
Backup & Recovery Done Right

We build and manage a complete backup and recovery system for your business — automated, redundant, and tested so it's actually there when you need it.

⚙️
Automated Daily Backups
Backups run automatically on a defined schedule — no manual steps, no one forgetting to plug in a drive. Your data is protected every day without you thinking about it.
☁️
Cloud + Local Redundancy
We follow the 3-2-1 rule: 3 copies of your data, on 2 different media types, with 1 stored offsite in the cloud. If one copy is compromised, others remain intact.
🧪
Tested & Verified Recovery
We run regular restore tests so you know your backups actually work. An untested backup is worthless — we make sure yours isn't.
🛡️
Ransomware-Resilient Copies
Immutable, air-gapped backup copies that ransomware can't reach or encrypt. Even if your network is compromised, your recovery point stays clean.
📂
File & Folder Recovery
Accidentally deleted a file or overwrote something important? We can restore individual files or entire folders from a point in time — fast, without a full system restore.
📋
Business Continuity Planning
We document your recovery time objectives, define a clear playbook for what happens if something goes wrong, and make sure everyone knows the plan before it's needed.
The Cost of Doing Nothing
Downtime Is More Expensive Than You Think

Most businesses don't think about backup and recovery until they need it. By then, the cost of not having it in place far exceeds what prevention would have cost.

$8,000+
Average cost per hour of downtime for an SMB

Lost productivity, missed sales, and employee idle time add up fast. Every hour your systems are down, money is walking out the door.

21 days
Average recovery time from a ransomware attack without backups

Three weeks of disruption, partial operations, and scrambling. With a tested backup and recovery plan, that number drops to hours.

93%
Of companies without DR that suffer a major data loss close within 1 year

Data loss isn't just an IT problem. For most small businesses, it's a business-ending event — especially when client records are involved.

140%
Increase in ransomware attacks on SMBs in the last 3 years

Small businesses are increasingly the primary target. The question isn't if you'll face a threat — it's whether you're ready when you do.

Common Questions
FAQ

The questions we hear most often before businesses get a proper backup plan in place.

We already back up to an external hard drive. Is that enough?
Rarely. External drives fail, get lost, or sit unplugged for weeks at a time. They're also vulnerable to ransomware if they're connected when an attack hits. A proper backup solution is automated, monitored, stored in multiple locations including offsite, and tested regularly to confirm it actually restores. A drive sitting in a desk drawer doesn't meet any of those requirements.
Does Microsoft 365 back up our email and files automatically?
No — and this surprises a lot of businesses. Microsoft 365 has basic recycle bin and version history features, but they're not a backup. Deleted items are only retained for a limited time, and there's no protection against accidental permanent deletion, ransomware encrypting your cloud files, or a disgruntled employee wiping data. Microsoft's shared responsibility model makes it clear that data protection in M365 is your responsibility, not theirs.
How quickly can we recover if something goes wrong?
It depends on the scenario and the solution we build for you, but we define Recovery Time Objectives (RTO) and Recovery Point Objectives (RPO) as part of your plan. For most SMBs we work with, individual file recovery takes minutes, and full system recovery from a major event is measured in hours — not days. We test these targets regularly so we know they're realistic.
What if we get hit with ransomware — can we recover without paying?
Yes — if your backups are properly isolated and immutable. The key is having offsite, air-gapped copies that ransomware can't reach. If ransomware encrypts your live data and your connected backups, but a clean cloud copy exists from 24 hours ago, we can restore from that and get you back running without paying a ransom. This is exactly why the 3-2-1 rule and immutable backups matter.
Is backup and disaster recovery included in your Managed IT plan?
Backup monitoring and management are included as part of our Managed IT Services plan. The backup solution itself — the software and cloud storage — is sized to your data volume and priced accordingly. We'll walk you through exactly what's included and what the monthly cost looks like for your specific environment before you commit to anything.
